Chafyn Grove’s Colour Run

On Saturday 23rd September, we hosted our very first colour run and what fun it turned out to be!   The event was planned to follow our annual Triathlon, which showcased the very best swimming, running and cycling skills from our pupils in Year 3-8.

The sun was shining and our wonderful grounds were prepped to host over 150 runners – a perfect blend of students, parents, teachers and even a dog or two, all running to help raise funds and to kick-start our AstroTurf Appeal.

There were five throwing stations throughout the course, along with a sprinkler to ensure that everyone got covered in as much paint as possible.  Some children even had water pistols for maximum impact!

Our Headmaster, Mr Head, was a fantastic sport and endured  a multitude of powder throwing, resulting in a fabulous multicoloured head-to-toe look.  It was a fantastic atmosphere, with everyone who took part, thoroughly enjoying the day.

Thank you to everyone that took part and supported this wonderful event which raised over £800 for the school. This money will go directly to the fundraising we are doing for our new AstroTurf. If you would like to kindly donate, please head to our Just Giving page .

We are looking forward to next year already!
