The Link

All children are unique and here at Chafyn Grove we ensure that their individual needs are met with the utmost care and attention. We have a dedicated team of highly qualified staff who work tirelessly to create an environment whereby our children feel nurtured and safe.  We have a specialist area named The Link, which offers learning support for all those in Year 3-8, whether that includes extra help with spelling and reading, maths intervention, or with more diagnosed needs such as dyslexia.  It is a safe space with wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. Lego and mindfulness colouring are available for those needing some time to regulate in a quieter space away from the rest of their class and we offer additional skills such as touch typing to those not doing a second language. We are always here, whether that’s in the classroom, The Link or through additional 1-2-1 teaching, we will always put our children’s needs first.

Well-Being Hub

The library also serves as a Well-being Hub offering children an alternative to running around outside at break times. The library/well-being hub is a quiet, calm space for children to read, do some colouring, play chess, do a puzzle or even catch up on some work. There is a teepee for children who might want a bit of space and lots of comfy areas to sit and relax; beanbags, sofas with blankets (including a weighted blanket in the teepee) are available to all.
