"The boarding house feels like a second family"

Chafyn Grove School provides a well-established and stable family environment for military families, which is essential when children are faced with the instability of one or both of their parents being posted away.

Our exceptional pastoral care ensures a home-from-home experience for our students. Boarding house pupils are cared for by our experienced and dedicated Houseparents, Tom and Jenna, who both understand the importance of support, words of encouragement and a hug or two.

“They are fun and interactive with all the children, eager to help and always there if you need them. They make the boarding house really enjoyable”  – Seb, Year 8, Full Boarder.

House life is busy, packed with fun activities for pupils to enjoy. As well as the sporting and extra-curricular opportunities on offer at school, our boarders enjoy a full programme of social activities during evenings and weekends. These include quiz and film nights on-site, and a range of trips to local attractions and events, all of which are included in the fees.

“Everything is done as a House – we eat together, play together, which is really important”

Chafyn Grove is fully aware that situations can change very quickly for military families, which is why our swift admissions process, means we can respond efficiently to any changes in circumstances. We are always on hand to help and support you and your child.

For actively serving members of the Armed Forces we provide a 10% discount for day pupils and weekly boarders (4 nights per week). Full boarders discount includes the minimum contribution of 10% CEA plus parental contribution.

Our Bursar is a military spouse, so please contact her for any help and advice on CEA or military discounts or to discuss weekly boarding options.
