Director of Finance & Operations (DFO) Chafyn-Godolphin School, Salisbury
From September 2026, Chafyn-Godolphin School will be a new 3–18 co-educational day and boarding school, formed through the merger of the historic Godolphin and Chafyn Grove schools. Set across 25 acres near Salisbury city centre, the school builds on a strong legacy to become the leading independent school in the region.
This is a rare opportunity to work alongside a new Head and play a pivotal role in shaping a newly formed school. Reporting to the Head, the DFO will lead the school’s financial and operational strategy, with oversight of finance, HR, IT, facilities, catering, grounds and commercial activity, while building high-performing support teams.
The successful candidate will be a senior leader with strong financial and commercial acumen, strategic insight and the ability to inspire multidisciplinary teams. Entrepreneurial, collaborative and change-focused, they will relish the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the future of the school. Experience in education is not essential, but a strong alignment with the values and ethos of independent education and United Learning is key.
