Chafyn Grove School is part of  United Learning, a well-established group of more than a hundred independent schools and academies. United Learning seeks to improve the life chances of all the children and young people it serves and its mission is to bring out ‘the best in everyone’ – pupils, staff, parents and the wider community.

As part of United Learning, [school name] is supported to retain its unique ethos and identity, and to develop in the way that best meets the needs of our community. By being part of United Learning, we benefit in several ways.

Being part of a group increases financial stability. We are able to face challenges collaboratively.

Working together saves us money, which in turn means we can invest more in teaching and learning. We are supported by centralised professional services including finance, estates, HR, compliance, marketing and IT. These departments work in tandem with our school-based staff to ensure we benefit from seamless professional support to a very high standard of expertise, at a lower cost than we could achieve by ourselves.

We have access to specialist resources to support teaching and learning. Our teachers benefit from an exceptional curriculum, and are supported by a comprehensive CPD programme to aid their development at every stage of their career. Highly-qualified subject experts are available to assist our academic departments, and every teacher has the opportunity to join a national network where they can share ideas and best practice for their subject. Each school is closely supported by our experienced Director of Independent Schools, themselves a former head, who guides our continuing improvement. Regular meetings for Heads enable the sharing of ideas, and drive innovation. All of this support has a direct and positive impact on outcomes for our pupils.

As part of United Learning we have access to more activities and opportunities. Our pupils are involved in group-wide initiatives and competitions ranging from music and sport, to storytelling and sustainability.

In June 2025, Chafyn Grove School joined United Learning, a well-established group of independent schools and academies across the country.

“We are a group of schools which aims to provide excellent education to children and young people across the country. We seek to improve the life chances of all the children and young people we serve and make it our mission to bring out ‘the best in everyone’ – pupils, staff, parents and the wider community. Uniquely, our Group includes significant numbers of schools in both the public and the private sectors, working together for mutual benefit.

We provide a broad education, which prepares children and young people to progress in learning and to make a success of their lives. We focus sharply on the evidence of what makes it more likely that children and young people will progress and succeed, apply that to our practice and continue to learn and develop our schools. We make it a priority to provide teachers with excellent professional support and development, so that every child receives an excellent experience.”
