Our first Rhyme Time session was a huge success this morning. Tat Tomalin, our Librarian, did a fantastic job keeping all the children involved – whilst having fun and singing along with all their favourite songs.  The story and bubbles at the end of the session proved particularly popular.

Tat says that she “strongly believes that rhyme time sessions are incredibly beneficial for little ones. Not only is it lots of fun and a great way to bond with your child but as lots of rhymes involve physical activity such as clapping, jumping and bouncing, this is really good for developing motor skills and supporting brain development. It also helps develop social skills and encourage good listening and communication skills.”

Each session lasts around 45 minutes, is free of charge and concludes with refreshments for all.

“I’m really excited to be able to run a rhyme time session at Chafyn Grove. I know my two children have thoroughly enjoyed rhyme time sessions and as a mum, it’s lovely going somewhere that you will also meet other parents, especially if there’s a hot cup of tea at the end!”
