Chafyn Grove & Godolphin Partnership
This year marks a significant milestone for education in Salisbury as Chafyn Grove and Godolphin unite to create an exceptional through-school experience for pupils aged 3–18.
This partnership enables both schools to work closely together to deliver a seamless educational journey across two sites, combining outstanding teaching, facilities, and pastoral care.
From September 2026, Chafyn Grove and Godolphin will operate as one school: Chafyn Godolphin. United by a shared vision, the school offers a carefully structured pathway from Prep to Senior School while maintaining a consistent ethos, values, and sense of community.
The Bourne Avenue site provides education for children aged 3–13, with pupils progressing smoothly to the Milford Hill site, where learning continues through to age 18. Pupils in Years 7 and 8 will benefit from learning across both sites, supported by teachers who work collaboratively to ensure continuity in teaching and pastoral care. By the time they begin their Senior School journey, pupils will feel confident, familiar, and fully part of the wider Chafyn Godolphin community.
While older children can continue both as day or boarding pupils at Chafyn Godolphin, some may relocate at some point to an alternative senior school. Historically, these have included the likes of Canford, Bryanston, Sherborne, Marlborough and others. We are still able to help facilitate entrance to such Senior Schools.
As one school, we benefit from an exceptional range of facilities across our two sites—from the sports pitches and outdoor spaces at Bourne Avenue to the Performing Arts Centre, art studios, science labs, and swimming pool at Milford Hill. To make the most of these resources, and as we expand our co-curricular provision, from September 2026 pupils in Years 7 and 8 will begin each school day at Milford Hill and transition once daily to Bourne Avenue for lessons. Teachers will also work across both sites. Pupils in Year 9 through to Sixth Form will remain primarily based at Milford Hill, moving between sites only when it enables them to access the most appropriate facilities and resources for learning.
This development reflects a shared commitment to combining the strengths, traditions, and facilities of both schools to enrich the educational landscape for families in Salisbury.
