"Set your goals high and don't stop until you get there"
Sport plays an integral role within Chafyn Grove daily life and our aim is to develop the pupil’s confidence, understanding and leadership by encouraging teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship. All pupils are given equal opportunity to learn and develop their skills and they are encouraged to take advantage of the extensive and valuable opportunities on offer.
We offer a range of sports and have a comprehensive fixtures list of matches against other schools in; Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Squash, Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country. We also provide support to athletes who are involved in other sports outside of school, to help them achieve their ambitions. In this regard, we have a number of pupils who are selected in county and regional sides each year, including Cricket and Swimming and the school regularly plays at National level in Hockey, Athletics and Rugby. Former pupils include Tom Carr-Smith (Sherborne, Bath Rugby and England U20) and Star Horlock (Marlborough, England Hockey).
